Porsche Legends: Curvistan lands in Singapore

A pop-up store, gallery, event space and hangout, all rolled into one. That is the concept behind Curvistan. First showcased in Munich (which, I sadly missed out on), Curvistan was created and curated to celebrate Curves Magazine’s 10th anniversary by its creator, Stefan Bogner. 2 years on, this pop-up for petrolheads and Porsche has arrived at the Mandala Club in Singapore.

Set to run for (at least) the next few months with a different theme (and showcase piece) each time, the first Porsche to drop into town for Curvistan is the 1954 Carrera Panamericana winning Nr55 550 Spyder driven by Hans Herrmann, one of the most successful and popular racing drivers to join the Porsche AG works team.

Yes, the very car, flown in from the Porsche museum in Germany. Just thinking about the logistics behind such an endeavour gives me the shudders. A 550A Spyder sans race-winning pedigree was sold for US$5,170,000 back in 1998.

That said, in addition to this legendary old-timer are also a selected number of period time-keeping pieces from Tag Heuer. Including historical examples of the Autavia and Monaco. Me? I just want a Carrera Montreal.

With Curvistan coming on straight off Porsche’s dual Singapore Art Week showcase and their new Porsche NOW retail concept store in town, Porsche Singapore is really pushing non-stop and full steam ahead for 2023, though, who can blame them? It’s their 75th Birthday.

Curvistan – Legends will run from 18 Jan to 19 Feb 2023 before taking on their next theme.

Timing for the pop-up store is as follows:
Tue – Sat | 10am – 10pm, Sun | 10am- 6pm

Mandala Club 31 Bukit Pasoh Rd Singapore 089845
